Personal Details
I was born on the Buddha Purnima ( May 15), 1965 in the Kaithinia village in the then Darbhanga ( now Madhubani) district of Bihar. I have lived for the first 21 years of my life in Bihar, then 11 years in Gujarat and finally since last almost 3 years in Joka.

I live with my wife Namita, daughter Ira and mother Smt. Chitrarrekha Jha at NF 3/3 in the IIM Campus at Joka.

I am a teacher, researcher and author ( not necessarily in that order) in the Organisation Behaviour. I am an Assistant Professor in the Behavioural Sciences Group. I received the Young Case Writer Award from the Association of Indian Management Schools in 1998. In addition to teaching at our PGP, PGDBM and MDP programmes, I have also taught in a large number of in-company programmes for clients such as Hindustan Lever Limited, L&T Ltd., Exide, Bharat Aluminium Co., Selvel Vantage Group, Hindustan Zinc Limited, Indian Oil Limited etc.

I have another competing side to my person. I am a poet and fiction writer in Maithili, an East Indian Language. My poems have been translated into Hindi, English, Bangla and Telugu. I also translate from and to Maithili in other Indian languages including English. I received the Katha award for translation in 1999. Come back for a link to a separate site related to this aspect of my person in the near future.
