Internship placements for PGDBA Class of 2023

The 7th batch of the PGDBA program successfully concluded internship placements during 26-27 September 2022. The unique course structure takes advantage of Industry Connect and provides a 6-months corporate internship, giving the students enough time to demonstrate their industry readiness. The batch comprising sixty students received a record-breaking 107 offers from 20 different organizations, including 8 first time visiting recruiters. The internship placement process spanned between two days with the participating recruiters split into four clusters based on industry type (Consulting, BFSI, Healthcare and Product and Services). The students were permitted to hold offers as per the Hold-and-Wait policy, enabling both the students and the companies to find a better fit. The achievement for the Class of 2023 speaks eloquently about the program’s rigorous criteria and the strength of the placement mechanism, which provides both hiring managers and candidates with enough flexibility. The stipend increased significantly this year, continuing prior trends. The average monthly stipend was greater than Rs 1.5 lakh, an increase of 7.6% over the previous year, while the top 25 percent received more than Rs 2 lakh p.m. Some of the prominent recruiters who participated in the internship placement process were BCG, DE Shaw, Games24x7, Mastercard and Providence. Various roles ranging from Associate Consultant, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Data Engineer, and Data Scientist to HR Analytics, Marketing Analytics, and Quantitative Research Intern were offered. “I would like to congratulate PGDBA Batch-7 students for achieving the wonderful feat of 100% internship placement through their hard work and relentless effort. I would also like to register my sincere thanks to the Apex Committee members, the Placement Committee members, placement office staff, faculty colleagues, administrations, student representatives, student volunteers and all stakeholders at tri-institute level for their wonderful guidance and amazing cooperation,” as stated by the PGDBA Chairperson, Professor Samit Paul from IIM Calcutta. “We are committed to running a fair and transparent process that provides mutual satisfaction to the students and the recruiters.
