Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta is elated to welcome the 15th batch of the one-year full time MBA for Executives Programme (MBAEx). The highlight of the cohort is undoubtedly its amazing diversity in terms of work experience and educational background, which adds a great flavor to the program. These 79 standout individuals, coming from 17+ diverse professional backgrounds, have been carefully selected to represent a wide range of industries and sectors to maximize peer learning, which is the fulcrum of the program.

The batch comprises of Entrepreneurs, Doctors, Chartered Accountants, Certified Public Accountants, Defense personnel, Architects, Auditors, IT Consultants, Project & Program Managers, ERP consultant, Data Scientist, Business Analysts, Government Officer, Investment Manager, Bankers, Operation Managers, Technology & Product Sales Managers, R&D Engineers and Sports Marketing Professional to represent a few of the many professions that the program boasts of this year.

The students come equipped with leadership experience across varied industries such as telecom, media, IT, Oil and gas, banking, automobiles, shipping, healthcare, construction, aerospace, and mining. Bringing global perspective to the cohort, 28% of the students have international work experience from countries such as Australia, Belgium, Brazil, China, England, Fiji, Germany, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Scotland, Singapore, Switzerland, the US, UAE, and Wales.

The average age for the batch is 30.6 years and the average work experience is close to 8.1 years. Further adding to the diversity, our ladies contingent this year is composed of 13 bright members from different parts of the country.

Since its inception in 2006, the MBAEx program at IIM Calcutta has come a long way in gaining global recognition for imparting quality education. We are the first business school in India and among a few B schools in Asia to hold a triple accreditation from EQUIS, AMBA and AACSB. We have been striving continuously towards adapting to the changing landscape of the business world to impart the most relevant management education and industry exposure to our students. Our continuous efforts are reflected in the Financial Times Global MBA Ranking 2021, where the MBAEx program featured at 44th position this year. Among the other parameters that the ranking focused on, IIM Calcutta MBAEx was the top performing Indian business program in terms of Value for money, Corporate Social Responsibility rank and female faculty ratio.
