Who can participate?
The workshop has been designed keeping in mind the value of an ethics course and the significance of an ethics professor in educational environment that is subsumed by the hegemony of functional subjects in technical and managerial domains. The speakers are the professed practitioners of the concerned subject and have been in the profession for decades with a prolific and challenging research and teaching background. The participants, teaching ethics in such environments, or research scholars aspiring to be teachers, would greatly benefit through their formal/informal interactions with the stalwarts of the discipline. The workshop model of interaction between speakers and participants provides far greater space for dialogue between heterogeneous audiences, but with similar questions, problems, experiences, and interests. This is an earnest attempt to explore the possibilities of bettering the research and pedagogy of ethics in technical and management institutions.
