For the 2022-23 session, the first round of application procedure will start on 30 June, 2021 and the last date for submitting your application will be August 30, 2021. For the second round, application procedure will start by the August 31, 2021 and the last date for submitting your application will be October 31, 2021. For the third round, application procedure will start by the November 1, 2021 and the last date for submitting your application will be January 1, 2022.
The check list of documents to be sent is as follows:

The total number of seats available will be 80 approximately.
There is no minimum GMAT score required for application. Participants will be selected through a rigorous selection process based on their relative ranking comprising of GMAT score, academic background, professional experience, personal interview, statement of purpose and recommendation letters from two referees.
There is no upper age limit for application.
A candidate should have 5 years of post-qualification professional experience as of 31st March, 2023.
You should take the GMAT well in advance so that you can submit the application form along with the GMAT score. However unofficial GMAT scores may be submitted along with the application form (within the last date of applications) in case the official GMAT score is not received within that date.
Do I furnish my GMAT score details in the application form only or do I need to arrange independent submission of GMAT score through ETS?
You need to submit the GMAT score along with the application form. Further, you should also inform ETS to directly send the score to us by the due date. The GMAT code for the MBA for Executives Programme is 9CP- HT-99 and is also mentioned in the application form.

As on date, scholarships are not available for the MBA for Executives Programme participants
We will inform the candidates who are short-listed for interview. Further, we will send letters of Admission to the selected candidates. We regret that we will not be able to communicate with candidates, who are either not short-listed or not selected for admission to the programme.
Placement assistance will be provided to all participants except those candidates who are sponsored by companies. Please note that the Institute does not guarantee placement to the candidates.
Candidates who are employed must produce in original, the letter of release from the employer or the employer’s receipt of the letter of resignation at the time of registration. In case of employed candidates who have signed a bond with the employer, a letter from the employer must be produced at the time of registration, stating clearly the status/nature of the bond between the candidate and the employer. If a student has taken leave from his/her company to join the programme, then there must be a letter from his/her employer to that effect. In case the candidate is on leave/lien from a company during the tenure of the programme, a “No Objection Certificate” (NOC) from the company must be submitted to avail of the Institute’s placement facilities. This must clearly state that the employee can avail of the placement services provided by IIM Calcutta.
We will provide furnished accommodation on campus.
The accommodation for current students (without family) are single rooms in the Management Development Centre. The facilities include A/C, intercom and common washing machine, fridge, TV, microwave (in lounge).
Limited family accommodation (one composite room with kitchen and attached bathroom, fridge, TV, A/C, washing machine, intercom, electric kettle, microwave oven, wi-fi ) is also available for some of the participants. The allotment of family accommodation will be subject to availability and requirement. Residing outside the campus is not permissible.
Facilities provided are subject to the directives of competent authorities.
Will the course provide specialization in a functional discipline like Finance, Marketing, Systems, Operation etc?
MBA for Executives Programme is a general management programme. As a part of the programme, the participants will have to take 15 elective courses during the 4th, 5th and 6th terms from the total number of electives offered. This would cover all major functional disciplines.
The MBA for Executives Programme students are required to undertake an international immersion module as a part of the curriculum. This includes company visits and academic sessions at international business schools. No separate fees are payable by the students for this module. The Institute takes care of airfare, accommodation, visa and medical insurance charges. Expenses for food are also subsidized.
When will you announce the list of selected candidates? Is it possible to know about selection earlier in case of urgency?

My medium of instruction in school was not English but in college I studied in English. Am I required to provide any proof of proficiency in English? Do I need to take all the tests – TOEFL, TWE and IELTS?
You need not provide any proof of proficiency in English. Those who need to provide the proof will have to take one of the tests mentioned in the Application Form.
It is mentioned that a Letter of Recommendation has to be sealed by the referee before it is handed over to the applicant. Is it necessary to get the signatures of the referee across the flaps of the envelope?

No. Only a certain number of applicants will be called for the interview based on the comparative parameters ( mentioned in Clause 5 above ) furnished by the applicants. Regret, fulfillment of eligibility criteria is not the only benchmark for being called for the interview.

There is no strategic advantage in applying in Round 1 vs. Round 2 vs Round 3. Round 1 is designed for those candidates who are eager to apply and would like to receive an admission decision earlier in the season. This is specifically directed for those who are applying to multiple schools and would like to gather their admission decisions at one time to make the most informed decision.
The company in which I had worked some years ago does not exist anymore. And I do not have any letter/certificate with me about this work experience. What should I do?
It is essential that you provide the relevant documentary support; in case you do not have a certificate of experience then you can provide other useful documents like Letter of Appointment etc. Therefore in any case, the information needs to be supported by some kind of relevant documents.
We consider your work experience documents issued from your company where dates of international work experience are mentioned. Please note that visits to international locations for participation in any conference/meetings/workshops or business trips are not considered as international work experience. Only full-time work in a foreign location (other than your home country) on legitimate documents which include offer letter/appointment letter and based on salary/consideration is considered international work experience.
If you are applying for 2021-22 batch you must expect to have at least five years of full-time, post-graduation work experience by March 2021. No part time jobs shall be taken into account.
