LEAD (Learn | Enhance | Aspire | Deliver) is an innovative programme that leverages IIM Calcutta's distinctive strength in blending theory and practice to offer business leaders an opportunity to contemporize their managerial capabilities and to sharpen their leadership acumen. LEAD is aimed at senior executives who aspire to head dynamic, industry-shaping enterprises.


The programme provides an integrated set of three benefits for such individuals:

Who Should Attend

LEAD (Learn | Enhance | Aspire | Deliver) is designed for experienced senior executives in industry-leading enterprises as well as for proprietors of growing businesses seeking to renew their business knowledge and managerial capabilities, and sharpen their leadership acumen.



Programme Duration and Delivery

The programme will spread over one year. There will be four campus modules of 5/6 days each. Some live online sessions will be conducted over the technology platform between campus modules.

1st Module: September 2 to 6, 2024 (Monday - Friday) [check-in on Sep 1st evening & check out on Sep 6th post noon]
2nd Module: January 20 to 25, 2025 (Monday-Saturday) [check-in on Jan 19th evening & check out on Jan 25th post noon]
3rd Module: April 8 to 13, 2025 (Tuesday-Sunday) [check-in on April 7th evening & check out on April 13th post noon]
4th Module: August 18 to 23, 2025 (Monday-Saturday) [check-in on August 17th evening & check out on August 23rd post noon]


Pedagogy
The pedagogy will involve IIM Calcutta’s distinctive portfolio method, which uses a variety of pedagogies, including case discussions, lectures, and experiential exercises, depending upon the specific learning objective.

Programme Content

The first module, LEARN, aims to help participants gain an executive perspective on the four functional capabilities every business leader should master. The second module seeks to ENHANCE participants’ cognitive capacity by exposing them to experts on higher-order managerial capabilities such as design thinking and strategic analysis. Subsequently, the third module, ASPIRE, hopes to foster an urge amongst participants to tackle contemporary challenges in management by imbibing, for example, an appreciation for the digital disruption across industries, the ongoing character of innovation in organizations, and the challenges and opportunities in an imperfectly globalized world. Finally, in the fourth module, participants gain insights on how to DELIVER distinctive execution inside organizations through a deep immersion in lectures, exercises, and case discussions around themes such as leadership and change, and through workshops with present or past CEOs and other champions reflecting on their experiences.

Eligibility:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in reputed organizations

    or

  • No more than two levels away from an India-level CEO

Alumni Status
  • LDP participants who complete the programme successfully become the Alumni of IIMC Executive Education, which currently has over 30,000 members.
  • LDP Alumni are given an email-id in the IIM Calcutta domain.
  • LDP Alumni can register in the IIM Calcutta Alumni portal either with this email-id or with their personal email-ids. The IIM Calcutta Alumni portal is a common platform for Alumni of all programmes of the Institute to interact with each other and stay connected with the Institute.
  • The Institute shares newsletters, important news and articles about the Institute and its activities, the achievements of the Institute's faculty, staff, students and alumni, upcoming events and programmes etc., on the portal.
  • Alumni can post their achievements, write about jobs or LIVE project opportunities for other alumni to see.
  • The IIM Calcutta alumni network can also be accessed on mobile phones through the mobile app.
  • Executive Education Alumni are entitled to a discount of 5% on the programme fee if they opt to do another LDP.
  • By using the different features of the IIM Calcutta portal, alumni across programmes can engage with each other in many meaningful ways. It is up to the alumni themselves to leverage the platform
