Executive Education: IIM Calcutta has been a pioneer in the field of executive education, particularly in the space of technology-driven executive education in the online mode both through state-of-the-art studio classrooms across the length and breadth of the country as well as abroad and in the direct-to-device (D2D) format. Over the past two decades or so, the portfolio of our Executive Education has grown enormously to cater to the diverse needs of working professionals. During 2023-24, we had around 7500 participants enrolled in various programmes offered by the Institute.

As part of Institute’s strategic vision and mission, the portfolio of programmes Executive Education is expected to expand significantly over the next few years. The Manager (Marketing) will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing initiatives to drive enrollment, enhance brand visibility, and position the institution as a leader in executive education. This role requires a deep understanding of target audiences, including senior executives, mid-career professionals, and corporate decision-makers, along with expertise in digital and traditional marketing strategies.

- Position: Manager (Marketing)
- Location: Kolkata – IIM Calcutta
- Department: Executive Education
- Engagement Mode: Consultancy (full time)
- Remuneration Range: ₹80,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month (consolidated), Performance based variable pay may be considered for deserving candidate.
- Engagement Duration: Initially for one year, However, the engagement may be extended based on the requirement of the Institute and performance of the candidate.
- Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Marketing & Brand Positioning:
- Develop and implement an integrated marketing strategy to promote executive education programs.
- Position the institution as a thought leader in executive education through content marketing, brand storytelling, and partnerships.
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor positioning, and customer insights.
- Create and manage marketing campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and enrollment.
- Lead Generation & Enrollment Growth:
- Develop lead generation strategies through digital marketing, email campaigns, and partnerships.
- Collaborate with sales and admissions teams to optimize lead nurturing and conversion.
- Analyze enrollment data and refine marketing tactics to improve ROI.
- Digital & Content Marketing:
- Oversee the development of high-quality marketing materials, including brochures, videos, website content, and social media assets.
- Optimize website content and user experience to drive traffic and conversions.
- Develop SEO, SEM, and PPC strategies to enhance digital visibility.
- Leverage social media platforms to engage target audiences and build brand credibility.
- Partnerships & Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate partners, industry associations, and alumni networks.
- Collaborate with faculty, program directors, and external stakeholders to develop compelling marketing narratives.
- Manage PR and media relations to enhance brand reputation.
- Budget & Performance Management:
- Develop and manage the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
- Monitor campaign performance and track key metrics (e.g., conversion rates, website traffic, engagement).
- Use data analytics to measure marketing effectiveness and inform future strategies.

- Strategic Marketing & Brand Positioning:
- Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business Communications, or a related field from a reputed institute.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing, preferably in higher education, executive education, or professional training.
- Proven track record in digital marketing, brand management, and lead generation.
- Strong understanding of B2B and B2C marketing strategies.
- Prior experience in setting up and running a business development team - Taking leads to conversion (preferred)
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot, Marketo), CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
