Application Form for Shortlisted Candidates for Personal Interview (PI) jointly run by Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, India Statistical Institute and Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur

Instructions

Documents to be uploaded:

1. A recent passport size colour photograph (maximum file size 500 KB) in jpeg, jpg or png.

2. If you belong to SC/ST/NC-OBC/EWS/PwD Category, please upload the relevant certificate in pdf format only (maximum file size 2 MB).

3. Scanned copies of your academic and other records/certificates in pdf format as and when asked while filling-in the application form else your submission remains incomplete and is liable to be rejected.

4. Scanned copies of work experience, if any or first and last pay slips of each organization worked will be considered as a proof of work experience. Please note that appointment letter will not be considered as joining date in lieu of the first salary slip.

5. Scanned copies of Extracurricular activities, if any (not more than 3) beginning from the most prestigious and meritorious achievement (Example, National/Stare level)

6. Scanned copy of your signature (maximum file size 500 KB) in jpeg, jpg or png.

Filling-in of PGDBA Application Form

1. Personal information such as name, date of birth, gender, caste/category etc., cannot be edited. In case there is any discrepancy in such information, please send a mail to pgdbaadmissions@iimcal.ac.in with details along with the documentary evidence for necessary rectification at our end.

2. Similarly, aggregate percentage of marks as filled-in for Class 10, 12 in the online application form cannot be edited.

3. Please note that your caste/category cannot be changed as filled in the application form. In case you belong to Non Creamy Layer (NC)-OBC category, the Central list of the National Commission of Backward Classes, Government of India as on the last date of online application registration (May10, 2021) will be used. Any subsequent changes will not be effective for PGDBA admission process for 2021-23 Batch.

4. Evidence in support of work experience, if any is mandatory. Only certified record of work experience or first and last pay slips of each organization worked after completion qualifying degree will be considered as a proof of work experience. Please note that appointment letter will not be considered as joining date in lieu of the first salary slip. Please follow the instructions mentioned in the relevant column in the application form with regard to work experience carefully.

5. Applicant’s family income will include applicant’s own income, income of his/her parents, brothers (if not married), sisters (if not married) and spouse (if the applicant is married). Please ensure the validity of self and family income as it will be subject to verification for internal administration if needed.

6. Documents needed during the online interview process (both hard and softcopies) :

  1. Government authorized ID proof
  2. Personal Interview (PI) Application Form
  3. Caste/category certificate, if applicable
  4. Academic and other attainments
  5. Evidence in support of work experience, if any
  6. Evidence in support of extracurricular activities, if any

The soft copies must be stored in the same system which will be used for online interview.

Any dispute concerning Admissions to the PGDBA 2021-23 Batch would be subject to jurisdiction of the competent courts within the territorial jurisdiction of city of Kolkata Only.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria for PGDBA (Batch 2021-23):

A candidate must hold a graduate/post graduate degree with any of the following: 10+2+4/10+2+5/10+2+3+2, with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e., B. Tech./ B.E./ M.Sc./ M.Com. or equivalent). One-year MBA will not be considered equivalent of M.Sc./M.Com.

Candidates with 10+2+3(Engineering diploma)+3(lateral entry into B.E./B.Tech.) with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e., B. Tech./ B.E.), or with 10+2+4(B.Sc.) with at least 60% marks or CGPA 6.5 on a 10-point scale in the Qualifying Degree (i.e., B. Sc.), or with B.Com. + CA with at least 60% marks (Intermediate and Final examinations of the CA considered together) are also eligible.

For SC/ ST and Person with Disabilities (PwD) category candidates, the qualifying marks for eligibility shall be 55% or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale.

The CGPA will not be converted into percentage marks even if the degree awarding Institute provides marks in CGPA system. Their admission will be based on the CGPA awarded in the transcript. If the CGPA is on a different scale than 10, the eligibility of a candidate will be based on the equivalence of the CGPA on a 10-point scale.

Candidates, who are in the final year, are also eligible to apply provided they appear in the final examination and complete other academic requirements as specified above by July 31, 2021. For such cases, admission will be provisional subject to submission of final mark sheet by December 31, 2021.
