The Scholar-in-Residence Programme at the Management Centre for Human Values, IIM Calcutta is meant for outstanding scholars to pursue advanced research in the area of human values bridging the fields of humanities and social sciences, broadly defined, and working in disciplines such as anthropology, economics, history, law, philosophy, politics, psychology, sociology and any other discipline related to management.
Under this Programme, the Scholar spends two to three weeks at the Institute to:
- Share their expertise and experience with students and faculty members at the Institute through a seminar presentation;
- Interact with the doctoral students at the Institute on a regular basis;
- Further a personal research project in the area of values;
- Develop their contacts with the like-minded scholars within the Institute
The Scholar(s) receive free boarding and lodging facilities at the Institute. They have office space at the MCHV and they also receive a token honorarium of Rupees Twenty-five Thousand. The Programme covers round trip air travel (economy class) from the place of the Scholar’s residence to Kolkata.
