Prof. Rajesh Babu, Chairperson (Executive Education)
Prof. R. Rajesh Babu is a Professor of Public Policy and Management at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIMC). He has over 20 years of experience as a lawyer, researcher, and educator in the fields of law and public policy, with a focus on international economic law, legal strategy and dispute settlement. Prof. Rajesh is a globally recognized scholar and practitioner, who has been a visiting fellow, a post-doctoral scholar, and a fellow at prestigious institutions in Germany, Switzerland, and the Netherlands. Before joining IIM Calcutta, Rajesh served as Senior Legal Officer (2002-2009) in the Asian-African Legal Consultative Organization (AALCO), New Delhi an inter-governmental organization (IGO) that represents Asian and African States and also briefly practised law. He obtained his PhD and MPhil in International Law from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi and holds an LL.M. in Comparative Constitutional Law. He is currently the Vice-Chairperson of the Board of Governors of the Foundation for Development of International Law in Asia (DILA) and a Board Member of the Nuclear Law Association of India (NLAI). He has also served on the Board of IIM Calcutta. He is passionate about advancing the understanding and practice of law and public policy in Asia and beyond, and empowering the next generation of leaders and professionals with the skills and knowledge to navigate the complex and dynamic global environment.
Prof. Nisigandha Bhuyan, Chairperson (Doctoral & Executive Ph.D.)
Dr Nisigandha Bhuyan is a professor in the Business Ethics area at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta. She holds a PhD from Indian Institute of Technology-Kanpur (awarded 2004). She has conducted post-doctoral research fellowship at ISB Hyderabad in partnership with the Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania (2003-2005). She has more than 20 years of teaching experience of which 14 years are at IIM Calcutta. She has extensively researched and published in the area of philosophical foundations of business ethics that includes Virtue ethics, Indian Philosophy, Stakeholder theory, contractarian business ethics, ethics of technology and so on. She has served the institution in various academic and administrative capacities that includes Chairperson, Internal Complaints Committee (ICC), Group Coordinator (GC), Coordinator of Management Center for Human Values (MCHV), editor of Journal of Human Values (JHV) among others.
