General Management and Leadership Cell (SIG)

We, at the General Management and Leadership Cell (GMLC), believe every student should get the exposure of a CEO while at IIM Calcutta. We make that happen by creating spaces where you can think like a leader, act like a decision-maker, and grow with your peers.

As the People’s Club on campus, we design events and experiences that bring out the best in you. From Zenith, our flagship intra-college case competition, to the General Management Quiz and Joka’s Best Manager challenge, we make sure you get a chance to apply your ideas, instincts, and strategy in high-pressure, real-life simulations.

We also run General Management Prep Activities for both PGP1s and PGP2s — whether it’s interview preparation, group discussions, or one-on-one guidance, we’re here to support you. Our Case Competition Workshops break down how to crack a general management case from scratch, while fun events like PR Crisis and Hustle to Business Challenge test your thinking on your feet.

Through all this, we make sure learning goes beyond the classroom.We believe in learning by doing, thinking, and leading. At GMLC, we don’t just prepare you for placements — we prepare you for the boardroom.
