Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta (IIMC) participated in the Financial Times (FT) Global Rankings survey for Masters in Management programs, for the first time this year.

We are overwhelmed to learn that in its very first outing, IIM Calcutta was ranked within the Top 20 management programmes in the World (ranked 19th).

It was even more heartening that IIM Calcutta was ranked higher than world-renowned institutions like the London School of Economics, Aalto University, Manchester Business School and quite a few others.

According to Professor Ashok Banerjee, Dean (New Initiatives and External Relations) at IIM Calcutta, who over looks matters relating to ranking, these rankings comes as a recognition of the overall quality of our post graduate programmes and performance of our alumni after they pass out from IIM Calcutta. These rankings will put greater responsibility on us to perform even better in the years to come to further improve upon our ranking. This is a challenge and the Institute will take all possible measures necessary for continuously improving the quality of education that IIM Calcutta offers.

IIM Calcutta and IIM Ahmedabad were the only two Institutions from India to feature in this ranking.
