Lattice is the Annual Business Symposium organized by the PGPEX students of IIM Calcutta. This is a platform that facilitates interaction between transformational leaders of Indian society and IIM Calcutta students. The business symposium aims to propagate the implementation of new ideas and thinking in the corporate world and the society.
Lattice is evolving itself as an important symposium for policy-makers, academics, and business leaders to gather and exchange ideas about India, one of the fastest growing economies of the world. The symposium strives to provide meaningful coverage on current trends, opportunities and challenges in India. To this end, this year’s conference, titled “India: The Time Ahead” intends to highlight India’s potential to grow and resolve the complex issues troubling Indian economy. The symposium intends to explore the Indian economy & India's increasing role in the world, climate for entrepreneurial activities, managing businesses during tough times and several other important issues.
Mr. Shekhar Gupta, Editor-in-Chief, Indian Express will deliver the keynote speech as the chief guest of the event. The event includes a number of talks on wide range of topics, which includes talks about “Impact of Emerging Technologies on Business” by Mr. Sudipta K Sen, CEO and MD of SAS India, “Promoting the Culture of Entrepreneurship in India” by Mr. E. SarathBabu, Winner of CNN-IBN Award for Young Indian Leader. The symposium will also host a panel discussion on “Industrialization at Cost of Human Values”. The panelists for the discussion include Mr. Dipankar Bhattacharya (politician), Mr. Armstrong Pame (IAS officer and social activist), Mr. PradeepLenka (CEO at Aditya Birla Group), Mr. AnuragDanda (Head CC Adaptation at WWF-India), and Mr. Prof. AnupSinha (Professor of economics in IIM Calcutta). Lattice 2013 will also conduct a business quiz for the students of business schools in India.
Lattice 2013 will also host the official PGPEX Alumni Meet. The highlight of this year’s meet is the felicitation of 1st batch of PGPEX students marking their 5th year of graduation. The alumnus from the IIM Calcutta Alumni Club, Kolkata chapter will also jointhe meet. The event shall serve as a meeting point for the entire alumnus and the current batch of PGPEX students providing a unique opportunity to connect and network for everyone.
