Women in Management (WiM) is the student interest group at IIM Calcutta committed to fostering an inclusive, equitable, and empowering campus culture. We believe that addressing gender disparities is a collective responsibility, and therefore strive to create opportunities, encourage meaningful dialogue, and bridge gaps arising from gender bias. Through industry engagements, leadership initiatives, mentorship, competitions, and community-driven events, WiM works towards building a campus where everyone, regardless of gender can learn, lead, and thrive.
Women in Management (WiM) is a student-led Special Interest Group at IIM Calcutta, founded with the vision of fostering an inclusive and empowering environment for women in business. It is rooted in the belief that no one should have to face the journey of breaking barriers alone.
At its core, WiM aims to be a safe space where aspiring women leaders feel supported, heard, and inspired - a space where challenging stereotypes and overcoming glass ceilings is not only encouraged but celebrated.
Beyond this, WiM is committed to being a growth-focused platform open to all, offering opportunities to learn, upskill, and collaborate. We believe that the B-School experience is more than just academics—it's a chance to evolve as individuals and professionals. Through workshops, industry interactions, peer-to-peer learning, and storytelling, we strive to help every member of the community make the most of their journey at IIM Calcutta.
