The Institute invites applications from qualified, dynamic, and empathetic mental health professionals for the position of Part –Time Consultant Psychiatrist to provide clinical consultation, supportive therapy, and mental wellness guidance to our student and staff community.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage psychological and psychiatric conditions among students, Faculty, staff and campus residents.
- Conduct regular consultation hours for counselling, stress management, and emotional well-being.
- Manage crisis intervention and coordinate advanced medical care or hospitalization if needed.
- Collaborate with student committees and support networks.
- Conduct wellness workshops, mental health awareness drives, and DE stigmatization seminars.
Required Qualifications & Eligibility
- Degree: MBBS followed by an MD in Psychiatry, DNB in Psychiatry, or DPM from a recognized medical institution approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC)
- Registration: Valid State Medical Council or National Medical Commission (NMC) registration.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of clinical practice post-qualification. Prior experience in an academic or residential campus setting will be preferred.
Remuneration & Perks
- Compensation: As per institute norms / Negotiable based on qualification and experience.
- Preferable Days & Timings: Tuesday & Thursday, 5.00 P.M. to 7.00 P.M. / 6.00 P.M. to 8.00 P.M., which may be changed as per mutual convenience.
