The IIM Calcutta Case Research Centre (IIMCCRC) hosted the 13th edition of the flagship Case Method Workshop, titled “Case Study Mastery: Writing with Impact and Insight”, in collaboration with Ivey Publishing. The workshop was held in an interactive online format across four days—June 16, 18, 21, and 24, 2025—and concluded with the distribution of certificates of completion jointly endorsed by IIM Calcutta and Ivey Publishing.
This year’s workshop brought together 28 engaged participants from diverse academic and professional backgrounds. Faculty members and research scholars from leading institutions—including IIM Visakhapatnam, IIM Ranchi, IIM Jammu, IIT Delhi, IIT Madras, and K.J. Somaiya Institute of Management—joined the sessions. The participant group also included professionals from the corporate sector such as Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd., as well as educators from higher secondary institutions like Sunbeam School, adding to the diversity and interdisciplinary nature of the discussions.
The event was formally inaugurated by Prof. Saibal Chattopadhyay, Director-in-Charge of IIM Calcutta, and was followed by an address by Prof. Peeyush Mehta, Dean (Faculty & Research), both of whom engaged with the participants and set the tone for an enriching and collaborative learning experience.
The workshop featured distinguished faculty as lead case tutors:
- Prof. Indranil Bose (NEOMA Business School, France)
- Prof. Nimruji P. Jammulamadaka, IIM Calcutta
- Prof. Arpita Ghosh, IIM Calcutta
- Prof. Dharma Raju Bathini, IIM Calcutta
Through a blend of expert-led sessions, interactive exercises, and hands-on group work, participants explored the fundamentals of impactful case writing. They also collaborated on developing initial case proposals, setting the stage for potential publication and classroom use.
