Call for Papers IIM Calcutta Finance Research Conference (IIMCFRC) 2026

The Financial Research & Trading Laboratory (FRTL) at the Indian Institute of Management Calcutta (IIM Calcutta) invites submissions for the IIM Calcutta Finance Research Conference (IIMCFRC) 2026, which will be held on the IIM Calcutta campus from December 12–14, 2026.

Building on the success of its inaugural edition in 2025, IIMCFRC 2026 will bring together researchers, industry professionals, and policymakers to discuss cutting-edge research in finance and accounting. The conference aims to provide a platform for sharing new ideas, fostering collaborations, and engaging in meaningful discussions on issues that matter for both policy and practice. It also offers an opportunity for early-career researchers to present their work and receive valuable feedback from leading scholars in the field.

Established in 2008, FRTL is a Centre of Excellence at IIM Calcutta dedicated to advancing research, teaching, and training in finance and accounting through access to financial market data, analytical tools, and state-of-the-art research infrastructure

Topics

The program committee welcomes original, unpublished research across all areas of finance and accounting. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

• Asset pricing and market microstructure
• Corporate finance, governance, and disclosure
• Banking, financial intermediation, and systemic risk
• Behavioural finance and household finance
• Corporate and financial accounting, auditing, and regulation
• FinTech, cryptocurrencies, and digital finance
• Risk management, derivatives, and portfolio choice
• Macroeconomic-finance linkages and financial stability
• Sustainability and Climate finance

Submission guidelines

Authors are invited to submit full papers through the conference submission portal (link will be shared soon). Each paper will be subject to peer review by the conference programme committee and only accepted papers will be scheduled for presentation. Some of the selected papers will be assigned a discussant for a detailed feedback.

Registration is required for all attendees, including presenters.

Fees

Registration fee is non-refundable.

Limited accommodation on first – come – first – served basis shall be available at IIM Calcutta campus in the Management Development Centre (MDC). Accommodation charges on a single occupancy is around Rs. 5040/- per night (including GST).
