Eligibility

1. The candidate must have a minimum of 8 years (full-time) managerial/ entrepreneurship/ professional experience after graduation at the time of applying for the programme.
2. In addition to the experience requirements, a candidate must meet at least one of the following academic eligibility criteria:
   1. A First Class Master's or Post graduate diploma (2 years) in any discipline and a three-year bachelor degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate OR A First Class 1-year/2-semester master's degree programme after a 4-years/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme with at least first class or equivalent percentage marks in aggregate;
      
      OR
      
   2. CA with minimum 50% marks or CS/CMA with minimum 55% marks, with B.com degree with at least 50% marks in aggregate;
      
      OR
      
   3. 4-years/8-semester bachelor’s degree programme should have a minimum of 6.5 CGPA or its equivalent percentage marks in aggregate;
      
      OR
      
   4. Equivalent qualification from a foreign educational institution accredited by an assessment and accreditation agency which is approved, recognized or authorized by an authority, established or incorporated under a law in its home country or any other statutory authority in that country to assess, accredit or assure quality and standards of the educational institution.

A No-Objection Certificate from the candidate's employer organization must also be submitted at the time of admission.

It is recommended that candidates review the faculty research profiles in their chosen areas of specialization to better understand the research interests of the faculty. A candidate can apply for two specializations only.

Reservation

Government of India guidelines for reservation are followed during admissions.

Note: Candidates will be invited based on the eligibility criteria and their submitted applications. Invited candidates will appear for a Research Aptitude Test (RAT), and Personal Interview (PI) in-person at the IIM Calcutta campus. Admission offers for the Exec Ph.D. Programme will be extended to successful candidates well in advance

For the AY 2025-26 : The programme/classes will start in the last week of October’ 2025.

All Admission-related decisions will be made by IIM Calcutta.
