Nominations for the Distinguished Alumnus Award 2025 Closed Now

IIM Calcutta, the only triple-crowned AACSB, AMBA, and EQUIS accredited business school in India, is recognized worldwide as an institute of academic excellence in management studies. We have a large number of bright and capable scholars who have distinguished themselves through their extraordinary achievements in their chosen professions and by their contributions to society at large.

To honour these inspiring individuals who have made their alma mater proud, IIM Calcutta instituted the Distinguished Alumnus Award as an annual event, starting from its Golden Jubilee celebration in 2011.

Prospective Awardees

The awardee alumnus shall be one who has significantly contributed to her/his professional domain in corporate world, academia, government, entrepreneurship, NGO or has made phenomenal contribution toward fulfilling the mission of IIM Calcutta by any means including philanthropic support.

How to Nominate

We are now inviting nominations for the ‘Distinguished Alumnus Award’ for 2025. You can submit your nominations through the link shared below; No self-nominations will be considered.

Awardee Selection Process

Nominations will be reviewed by the Dean’s Office at IIM Calcutta. An empowered committee, consisting of eminent representatives from the institute's stakeholders, will prepare the final list of awardees.

The Award

The award consists of a citation and a plaque that represents the spirit of IIM Calcutta. It is presented annually on the institute's Foundation Day, which is celebrated on November 14. The award is not conferred in absentia, and the decision of the competent authority stands final.
