Lattice 2024
Lattice, the MBAEx annual business conclave, is a one-day event with industry stalwarts, students and academia for academic-industry relationship building and interactions. The event had its maiden journey in the year 2009 and has come a long way. This year, Lattice was held on 10th August, 2024 and the broad theme of the event was, “Navigating Business in a VUCA World” which was about addressing the challenges of volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity in today’s business environment.
Shri Nitin Gadkari, Hon'ble Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, as the Chief Guest, inaugurated the event virtually, with his leadership talk on the growth of India through the transitioning times of technology, energy and knowledge.
Our esteem keynote speakers shared strategic insights on navigating the complexities of the contemporary volatile business environment, emphasizing the need for agility, innovation, and resilience in decision-making.

The winners were awarded with cash prizes on the day of the final event.
The Cultural Night was a massive culmination of months of planning and hard work. The evening had everyone enjoying Nayab Midha’s poetry session as part of the cultural night at the business conclave. The event ended with a networking dinner and music.
The event Lattice provided a very good opportunity for the current batch of MBAEx students to network with distinguished personalities from industry, academicians, IIMC faculty fraternity, IIMC multi-programme level students, and with the alumni of IIM Calcutta.
Gaurav, Rishind, Sagan, Shivam and Rajan as the Lattice Student Committee expanded the scope of Lattice as an occasion that transcends the academic-industry-policy boundaries to develop in a massive network-based eco-system.
Beyond Lattice
Lattice 2024 inaugurated another feature in the effort to enhance industry network, with co-creation between the Lattice Team and the Social Networking Student Team. Beyond Lattice is now the Industry Insight Series – a series of industry-domain specific panel discussions.
The First of the series kicked off on September 15, 2024 with InsurTech. The distinguished group of industry leaders delved deep into future trends and innovations in insurance while discussing how technology is revolutionizing the insurance landscape.

The discussion was skilfully moderated by students of the MBAEx programme, Suvajit and Sanchit, who both worked in the insurance domain before joining this programme. Dr. Sudarshan Kumar, IIMC Faculty teaching Fintech to MBAEx 18, opened the panel discussion with the idea of trust, and set the context for the discussion on insurance, industry, technology, policy and fintech.
