Lattice 2026: Annual Business Conclave of the MBAEx Programme, IIM Calcutta
The MBAEx Programme of IIM Calcutta hosted Lattice 2026, its Annual Business Conclave, on September 12, 2026, bringing together distinguished leaders and industry practitioners for a day of insightful conversations on technology, innovation, leadership and the future of business.
The event was inaugurated by Prof. Bhaskar Chakravarty, Dean Academics, IIM Calcutta, along with the Chief Guest, Mr. Amitabh Nag. Bringing a front-row perspective from one of India’s most ambitious digital public infrastructure initiatives, BHASHINI, Mr. Nag spoke about the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence and language technologies in enabling inclusion at population scale. His address explored the opportunities and challenges involved in building digital capabilities that are accessible, meaningful and effective for every Indian.
The conclave featured keynote addresses by two accomplished leaders from India’s rapidly evolving technology and business ecosystem. Dr. Vivek Mishra, Co-Founder and CEO of Raphe mPhibr, brought a unique perspective shaped by his academic and entrepreneurial journey. With a PhD in Swarm Robotics from Georgia Tech, Dr. Mishra is a defence technology entrepreneur working at the intersection of advanced engineering, robotics and indigenous innovation. His address offered valuable insights into the evolution of deep-tech enterprises and the role of technology in strengthening India’s strategic capabilities.
The second keynote was delivered by Mr. Dhaval Thanki, Chief Operating Officer, LogiNext, who shared perspectives on technology-led transformation, logistics and the growing role of data-driven decision-making in modern enterprises. His insights highlighted how digital platforms and intelligent solutions are reshaping operational efficiency and enabling businesses to respond in increasingly complex and dynamic markets.
Through diverse perspectives spanning digital public infrastructure, artificial intelligence, language technology, deep-tech innovation, defence technology, logistics and business transformation, Lattice 2026 created a platform for meaningful dialogue between industry and the MBAEx community.
The conclave reflected the MBAEx Programme’s continued commitment to exposing its students to contemporary business challenges and emerging opportunities, while fostering conversations that bridge academic learning with real-world leadership and innovation.
